What the passes actually cover
Barcelona’s three passes split along a line most visitors don’t expect: what’s genuinely included versus what’s merely discounted.
Articket BCN (€35, valid 12 months) isn’t a city pass at all — it’s a museum pass covering six major art institutions, including the Picasso Museum (normally €14) and MNAC (normally €12). It gets you nothing at Sagrada Família, Park Güell, or any other Gaudí site. If your days are mostly museums, it’s the cheapest way in; if Gaudí is why you’re visiting, look elsewhere.
Barcelona Card (€46 for 3 days, up to €63 for 5) bundles unlimited public transport with full entry to a shorter list — the Cathedral rooftop, a free Gothic Quarter walking tour, MNAC, CosmoCaixa, and a reserved Palau de la Música tour. Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are all discount-only here, so you’re still paying most of the ticket price for the sites most people actually came for.
Go City: Barcelona All-Inclusive (€65 for one day up to €139 for five) is the only one of the three that treats Sagrada Família and Park Güell as reservations rather than discounts, alongside full entry to Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, both art museums, the Montjuïc cable car, the zoo and CosmoCaixa. Camp Nou’s standard tour is included; the Immersive Tour upgrade is a €5 add-on regardless of which pass you hold.
The Gaudí gotcha
Sagrada Família (€33 single ticket) and Park Güell (€18) are what most visitors build a Barcelona trip around, and it’s easy to assume any pass covers them properly. Only one does. The Barcelona Card discounts both but doesn’t include them. Articket doesn’t touch them — it’s limited to its six partner art museums. Go City is the only pass here that includes both as bookable reservations, and even then you still need to reserve a timed slot, since both sites cap daily numbers regardless of how you paid.
How to decide
- Itinerary is mostly art museums, little interest in Gaudí → Articket BCN.
- Want transport plus a broad, mid-priced sightseeing list, and you’re fine paying discounted rates for Gaudí sites → Barcelona Card.
- Sagrada Família and Park Güell are the priority, plus a handful of other stops → Go City: Barcelona All-Inclusive — book your Gaudí time slots as soon as you buy.
- Short trip built around just Sagrada Família and one or two extras → run it through the calculator; a couple of single tickets can beat any of the three.

What does Articket BCN actually cover?

Do I still need a timed slot for Sagrada Família with a pass?
Yes. Both Sagrada Família and Park Güell cap daily visitors, so even Go City's reservation-based inclusion requires booking a specific time slot in advance — the pass gets you in, but doesn't skip the booking step.
Is Camp Nou included in any Barcelona pass?
Not fully. FC Barcelona tickets Camp Nou separately, so the Barcelona Card and Articket BCN exclude it outright. Go City includes the standard Camp Nou Experience tour, with the Immersive Tour upgrade costing an extra €5 on top.
